Hi, I’m Rebecca, 

The face behind Rebecca Gilbert Photography – Family in Focus.

I’m a family and children’s photographer based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire with a real passion for capturing natural, heartfelt moments that families will treasure for years to come.

As a mum and step-mum myself, I know just how quickly the days pass and how precious these moments are. That’s why my sessions are relaxed, fun, and child-led — no pressure, no awkward posing, just genuine smiles, cuddles, and connection. Whether it’s a family session, newborn shoot, cake smash, or milestone moment, my aim is always the same: to tell your family’s story in a natural and beautiful way.

Before photography, I spent 12 years working in early years and childcare. I have also returned to working in childcare, since having children of my own. This means I’m confident with little ones of all ages (and very patient!). This experience helps sessions feel calm and enjoyable, even with shy children or busy toddlers.  Whether your child needs extra time to settle, prefers quieter settings or benefits from sensory-friendly approaches, I will make sure the experience is relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.

One of my favourite ways to photograph families is outdoors, using beautiful local locations as a natural backdrop. From open parkland and woodland walks to seasonal settings like bluebells and autumn leaves, outdoor sessions allow children to explore, play, and be themselves — resulting in relaxed, authentic images full of movement and emotion.

Community means a lot to me, and I’m also proud to support local charities and small businesses through my work — giving back is a big part of why I do what I do.
